How were they ? Last night: 2005 Neal Family Zinfandel Shaferguy91 The 2004 Shafer Hillside Select, although very young, was outstanding, with a dark black/purple juice, an abundance of beautiful dark fruits, and a very fragrant & sweet floral nose. 95/96 points The 2001 Neal Howell Mountain SDV was better than I expected. Nicely balanced reddish/purple juice, still has a bit of a tannic finish, but another year should cure that one. Solid fruit, but just a little light on the finish. 90/91 points.

Go for it. It's drinking really well.

A nice off-line.
Can't you drink a little better? Always loved Alain Robert but never had Le Mesnil. How were the HB and Dominus?

I'm betting you'll it, DoubleD. Tonight, we're having a 2005 Mas Doix Salanques
Just one more sip.

In the event you've not opened one yet, be sure to give this one plenty of breathing time, Board-O and it should show well. I've opened the '04 twice. One with a short decant and one with a 3-4 hour decant. The second bottle showed much better than the first.

I saw this a half hour before dinner, so I took your advice and opened something else. I've previously found the Salanques to be an early drinker, but after your comment, I'll probably open one when I can wait if necessary. Sounds like a cheese course wine.
Just one more sip.
