Okay, please give me a red or white (or both) to pair with a chicken soup that has wild rice, brown rice and mushrooms. Also, if you have a specific QPR to recommend please include it in your post.

Thanks!

I think Pinot Noir will work well with the wild rice/mushroom combination.

Depending on whether or not this is a creamy style soup, you might try a Charonnay (old world). I agree with Pinot Noir also with mushrooms and earthy rice.

If the soup is salty and a light broth, I just don't feel like a pinot would show the best. So I think I'd go with a decent champagne that shows some mushroomy aromas... plus, a sparkling wine always makes a meal seem more "special," doesn't it?

I would go with a Chablis or a white Rhone. The flintiness of the chablis, and earthyness of the white Rhone, I think would pair very well.
