2007 Round Pond Cabernet Sauvignon
2008 Tamarack Firehouse Red

I am also part of the club not buying much at all going forward - too much wine (have to drink 6+ cases just to get back down to normal capacity) and other money obligations. I bought the above thanks to a coupon.

That would make me want to break as well. Wink

Today was the first official test: Quilceda Creek allocations went live today. I'm skipping myself. Smile

Board-O,
Hah, when Posner sent his email offering of this it was almost a reflex reaction for me to order some. I have a feeling this is one that is not to be missed!

Wew were hoping to visit Pierre Peters last summer, but they were closed in August when we were in Champagne. I'll try again this summer, but we'll be there in August again.

Just one more sip.

Sparty, my "cellar" is nothing compared to most on the boards. However, it seems every time I say I don't want to buy anything for a while, Binny's puts out those damn 15% coupons!

What did you think of it? I found impressive for a relative entry level Champagne, albeit from a great winery.

What's an '05 Backus cost down there? Curious.

I was a Phelps club member at the time so I paid $180 - most I've spent on a bottle of wine, for the record Smile

ooh jealous. Les Pavots from Peter Michael. Excellent wines. Very bordeaux-like but with some American flair to it as well.

This is my first purchase from Philipponnat, and I haven't opened it yet. Don't know, but I might open it this weekend for my sister-in-law's 40th birthday.

I had one last month, and it was awesome. Showed to still have about 2-5 years of gaining complexity, and over a decade of good drinking ahead of it.
