Thanks for replying. I live in an old NB home just on the other side of the athletic field of Newport Harbor HS. Yeah... that's the ticket

That's the right Ch. Malmaison, NYCWINECONSUMER.

The 2000 was great and you may be able to find it still. Actually, the 2003 is very nice and is a steal at $12.99.

Question for James Suckling: James, now that the magazine is out can you explain why the 2005 Rieussec was not scored or commented on, has it not been bottled yet for final tasting? Thanks---Marc

2005 Rieussec was not bottled yet when I was in Bordeaux in early December. I will taste it in March.

Did you get the new issue yet?

James, I don't know about Italy, but in Holland we can't get this Bordeaux 2005 issue before... mid April! It's outrageous to see how long it takes for the hard copy of the magazine to arrive here.
I have been complaining about this too often, but nobody seems to care.

James, thanks.
This is a wine that has not been reviewed by most wine publications, but some winos who had visited the chateau had found it to be very good.

So..... James,

If Ch margaux is the wine of the vintage and 2005 is the (reigning) vintage of the century, then ipso facto Margaux must be the Wine of the Century no? Hope you got yourself a case or two.

I actually went back for a 12 pack of Guiraid ($53 locally), and some Clerc Milon (sixer), for about the same price, in addition to a 12er of Puyregard, for cheap.
