Hi:
My wife and I will be in Bolgheri next month on our honeymoon. Any advice on wineries to visit and how to get appointments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I've never been to Bolgheri but I would imagine you couldn't go wrong with Sassicaia, Ornellaia or Tenuta Guado al Tasso. Check their websites for info.

Contact La Strada del Vino and they can set up your tastings for you. You can visit some wineries on your own but they can get you into Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia) much easier.

Kevsik, not sure where you are located, but I always have my local wholesalers set up all of our visits in Europe.

Many times you will spend 4 hours plus, including lunch or dinner.

If you are not close to the wholesalers in your market, get with your best retailer and have them contact the wholesale side of the business on your behalf.

Kevsik, you should also seek out some of the stunning Cabernet Franc wines in Bolgheri that are not exported.

Good luck!

I'm familiar with (and really like) Paleo. Can you mention some that you like which are only available locally?
