Never had them. Are they worth seeking out?

Think of them as larger cherry tomatoes. The flavour is usually pretty decent and they tend to be available year round. I prefer to buy them in the winter time when I can't get good heirloom tomatoes or grow my own.

No problem. They're also a good "backup" when nothing else looks good or other tomatoes have a pasty texture.

I use them fresh, mainly in salads. A decent winter tomato, like the other poster said "a large cherry tomato" Couple more weeks an I will have the local grown ones.
