I really think those are excellent choices.

I can't help myself but to give people a Reader's Digest wine education when they are trying a new wine. I suspect you do the same. Wink

I love to see a persons face when the "wine light bulb" turns on for them. I hope at least one of them "gets it" at your party.

Board-O any report on the party? How did it go?

just to add a thought. When looking for a wine for newbies and assuming you'd like to open their eyes a little. One thing I would consider is finding a red that has that smooth silky feeling in your mouth. This is something that is easy to detect for neophites and is something that can be associated with 'good' wines.

Hope the party went/goes well!!
