Last night: Mutton chops at Keenan's Steakhouse. It was good but I think I like their aged steaks better.

I'm sure you mean Keens. I agree. The mutton is vastly overrated.

Just one more sip.

New forum member and old friend of mine, Gkapoor was in London last night. We had rack of lamb with a mixed green salad and Mrs. Glennk’s awesome mac & cheese. We started off with NV Duval-Leroy which is always solid for me, the 1998 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape had a great nose but was still backwards on the palate (not surprising) and the 2007 Paul Autard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Juline that was just delicious. The PA is new world in style, but balanced and just flat out tasty. I’m sure this will shut down like most CDP’s do, but if you have a case this might be one to try early. We finished the night with some sticky toffee pudding. Good times.

We just had takeout Chinese noodle dishes last night. That's pretty much verboten for us on a Saturday night, but we were babysitting.

Just one more sip.

Last night, one of the best plates I've ever had. From Amuse Bouche restaurant in Toronto, seared loin of kangaroo, with a rhubarb leek jus, roasted veg and duck confit sheppard pie. Truly brilliant

Tonight, homemade burgers on the grill, with homemade mac and cheese.

BBQ Hamburgers this evening. However to mix it up a little, while at the butcher today, I picked up both ground beef and horse.

Never tried horse before. Needless to say you need to add an egg for the horse due to its' lack of fat. Lean indeed but missed the flavor of the beef. Also picked up two filets of horse for grilling while the opportunity was available.
