Just to add my $0.02 for future reference. Agree with Board-O that Kiki's is excellent. Apparently you can bring your own wine, but their list is adequate and very reasonably priced. An '01 La Nerthe CdP for $62.

West Town Tavern is also very good with an eclectic wine list.

The food at Italian Village is OK at best but the wine list is the real reason to go there. It's posted on their website.

If you want "beer and sports" and would recommend "Tai's Til 4" on Ashland Avenue, one of the few bars open until 4 AM in Chicago.
