I don't know about carbs... but I remember reading a glass of wine is generally around 100 calories (give or take 20).

There really can't be that many carbs. However many there are it is worth the indulgence for the other health benefits - antioxidants, mental health, etc. When the big "carb craze" started there was some winery selling a white and a red labeled one point something - as in "1.8" or whatever it was. I never tasted it nor did I care to. I believe that the wine was discontinued so it must not have been that good.

I've been on an 1800 calorie a day diet that is broken down into 80 or so calorie portions in several food groups, and I've lots and lots of weight without much denial of the good things in life. Like wine. I get 4 portions of fruit and 5 portions of carbs per day, and can substitute a portion of either for 3 ounces of wine. Most evenings I'm getting 9 or 12 ounces, and when I feel like it I cheat and have more.

I don't care about the carbs, bring 'em on. I skip the fois gras, cheeseburger, ben + jerry's and bread and bleached flour and sugar, and drink all the wine I want.
