I admit to spending most of my limited lurking time in the "wine conversations" forum, but I noticed the "what are you eating?" topics and wonder if it wouldn't be nice to have the poster respond with the beverage chosen with the meal. All those great meals.....I wonder what you are drinking with them? I notice that some do provide their choice of wine, beer, etc, but the topic would be very interesting to me to also see the wine pairing, where applicable. What say ye?

Now that THAT can of worms is open, just wait until some annoying PIA poster starts wanting everyone to post their RECIPES too.

Being the aforementioned PIA poster I'd like to officially state that eating threads "bites nards". Big Grin

I like them. A number of us, wiml included, have exchanged recipes after reading something on those threads.

Just one more sip.

Nope... never made them. I'll have to look for the recipe. We're going to the butcher tomorrow morn, so I can pick up the necessary cuts of meat.

Go HOKIES!!!

So, wiml, what'd you serve with those nards? Big Grin

I couldn't agree more. To me, a good wine pairing is almost as important as the food.

I occasionally try to mention the wine served in my food posts. But, I admit it is difficult to verbalize the synergies between wine and food. So, I usually skip it.

I too, would encourage those of you who are better communicators than I, to share your impressions of your wine pairings.

PT, anybody who says " I admit it is difficult to verbalize the synergies between wine and food," probably does not find it difficult! Big Grin

OK, I will do as i say, so to speak. I'm adding a "what are you eating" post AND my wine selection with the meal. Sorry Thurston, no recipes.
