Any suggestions for nice dining in Napa. Prefer something outdoors but not too dressy. Price is not the main concern. Do restaurants allow you to bring your own wines. I am looking for one place for dinner and one for lunch. I am also looking for wine shops in the area. Is there any advantages to buying wine in a shop as opposed to the winery?
Thanks for your help

All restaurants in the Valley allows you to bring your own, corkage varies from free to $50.

All Seasons Bistro in Calistoga would be a good spot to hit for lunch, although they do not offer outdoor dining. However, the food is very good, and they also have a wine shop inside the restaurant that's got some interesting older wines available at a very fair price.

What type of food do you like, will be helpful in giving you recommendation for dinner.

Thanks Pyang,

We like it all. I think I will be interested in seafood, Italian or any local favorite. I would like to get your input on wine tours and tastings. How do I e-mail you?

I know you are looking for outdoor dining, but should really consider La Toque for your dinner. Great food and probably the top wine service in the valley. $18 corkage is not cheap but all the stems and decanters you can ever ask for, Riedel Vinum Extreme matched to the varietal is the restaurant's choice of stemware.

Bistro Don Giovanni and Martini House are both great with outdoor seating.

Good suggestions by all. I offered similar advice in the "Napa Dinner and Golf Suggestions" post.
