Polarica.com is now owned by a Scandinavian wild berry company.
Are they gone for good, or just changed their name?

Update!

Visited the place today to replentish my supplies. There is a new owner and now it's called Polarica USA, to differentiate from original Polarica, which had two branches - Swedish berry suppliers and the US branch on 3rd street in SF known for its stellar selection of fresh meats and poultry. Many changes are said to be implemented in near future and from what I heard, it sounds promising. In the meantime, they still have almost all I want - fresh ducks, quails, guinea hens, squabs, poussins and much more. The foie gras situation is pretty bad though. Sonoma foie gras is pretty much extinct and instead they sell foie from Canada and Hudson Valley.... Insert weeping gremlin here.

Yes, Polarica is still in business, but the correct website is: www.polaricausa.com (and the new name is also Polarica USA, Inc.)
We are under new ownership and hope to continue to provide outstanding service & products to the Bay Area. Also, we are able to obtain Sonoma Foie Gras (at least till 2012), and have Hudson Valley Foie Gras in stock. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call at (415)647-1300.
