Pretty flexible wine that can go with a variety of lighter foods and can even take a bit spice/heat. If it's a really full-bodied Gewurtztraminer, like Z-H or Wienbach can make, it works very well with Muenster cheese, the riper the better.

The best I've had was a roasted butternut squash soup with ginger and pepper corn. Felt like it had bubbles.

Indonesian and Malaysian food which feature nutmeg, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, cumin, chiles, coconut milk, peanuts, shrimp paste and many other combinations of spices. Also Thai cuisine which uses curry paste, turmeric, paprika, lemon, shallots, garlic, coriander, lemongrass and shrimp paste.
