Jeez, that's 18 McRib sammies I've missed out on and now I'm gonna have to scramble to get the requisite dozen in the gullet before December 1st.

Help a brother out next time! Razz Big Grin

Cheers,

Otis

That's just gross.

Is there any kind of meat-by-product you guys in Chicago don't eat. Big Grin

Otis- the reason no one mentioned it in "dining and cooking" is that eating a McRib cannot be called dining, and I don't think these things actually get cooked, they get squeezed out of a tube and placed on a bun (think "brown 25" if you ever saw the movie "the Groove tube").

I think there was a post about these over on the "grosser than hell" forum.

tlily: the short answer is NO! Big Grin

grossie: Are you saying that they stamp these wonderful riblicious morsels out in assembly line fashion and do not carefully remove each tendon from the rib bone by hand with loving care? I think not, my friend.

Speaking of "grosser than hell", when are we going back to Clark Dog? I've got my white shirt on! Razz

Cheers,

Otis

LOL!

I found out Wednesday and had to have one. Those things have such a cult following.

One of my favorite episodes of the Simpsons was the one in which a group toured the country, following the Krusty Burger riblet sandwich.

They're artificially delicious!

Actually threw one of those bad boys down yesterday.

It's the pickle and onions that pair so well with the soylent green. Big Grin

My wife will be amazed that there are miscreants other than me who actually enjoy these wonderful "sandwiches"....

I hope they are available in the Sacramento area!!!!

Ah, Allred, you beat me to it! Big Grin I love the "Deadhead-KrustyRiblets" episode.

I, also, am a McRib fan. Ah yes, mystery meat. It's a guilty pleasure. So much so, that when they're not available AM/PM markets (Arco gas stations) have a reasonable facsimile for about 99 cents.

I've been pondering this. What type of wine would you serve with this, as Otis so colorfully put it, "riblicious morsels"?

And if left out for say, hmm, a couple years, would the face of someone of importance appear mysteriously on the bun?

Oh Man...Clark Dog! Now I'm homesick. And hungry...and it's only a bit past 10am in Los Angeles!

Wonder if I'll have time to sneak into the city when I'm home for Christmas and grab a dog...no...Philly Cheese Steak...no dog...no...maybe...BOTH? Big Grin

Well, ... since we're on a "Micky D" kinda thread .....

There is an upcoming television commercial for McD's that has a couple of kids eating happy meals and playing with their included toys. There is a dog, a Dalmatian, in this commercial too. She's mine. Her name is "Willow". She has also been shown on the August cover of the Land's End catalog, and in the fall Bon Macy's catalog. Anyway, I'm enjoying a McRib as I type this. It's going down w/ a tumbler of Arbor Mist Strawberry White Zinfandel.

Here's a TN ..... just for the hey of it .....

A fine wine product with ripe strawberry and other natural flavors. Arbor Mist SWZ is the refreshing new way to drink wine. This delicious blend of White Zinfandel wine and juicy strawberry flavors makes a perfect beverage for casual get-togethers, festive celebrations, and relaxing at home.
contains 0% juice; women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy; consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs abilities to drive cars, operate machinery and may cause health problems
