I can't help but watch. These contestants were raised in someone's really dark, damp basement and just brought out for this show. They are not chefs and it scares me to think any would be running a kitchen. If anything, they should be dueling to get a job apprenticing at one of his restaurants.

Except for Julia, the line cook, they move as awkwardly in a kitchen as culinary students in their first week. And the hygiene? Joanna licking her tongs? That "pastry chef" who couldn't make crepes her first night grabbing pasta out of the trash. That is seriously foul.

The crying/fainting guy had to be a plant. He was just too over the top and useless and typically when someone has left the show due to illness it didn't look so terribly scripted.

The people that the producers pick to be on the show typically fall in to archtypes, just like any other "reality" show. If Ramsey has a producing credit on this show, he should be ashamed. They just set up unqualified people for failure.
I do laugh at the whiners who lament, "She doesn't deserve to be here. She works at a frikkin' Waffle House!" Hell, none of them do. At least the waffle cook can fry an egg; that's something that somehow escapes the rest of these "chefs". Roll Eyes

Let the schadenfreude continue!

if you think about it
Ramsey has allway's been a hard ass!
in this one he has step back some!
and the only one that has work on a line is the waffle house young lady!
it won't be long befor she's running a kitchen some where!

Ramsey is coming back with new series on BBC, which I still like better, but this season of Hell's Kitchen is scary. Imagine all these retards leaving the show and going back to their day jobs...cooking in restaurants.

Which new series is he doing on BBC? I saw that there's going to be an American version of Kitchen Nightmares, and I've seen both series of The F Word

I love this show, its seriously a wonder how ramsey hasn't had a heart attach yet? He gets really riled up. One day, he's just going to collapse.

I still get confounded that no one knows how to fry an egg ... The first girl that tried it.. made it look like she microwaved it .. It's gotta be scripted. How can these people with culinary school training not know how to fry an egg?!?

Does anyone know if the winner gets their own restaurant @ Green Valley Ranch or if they are taking one over? i ask because i've been staying there since it opened, it's the only place i stay, and the only real "fine dining" option in the Casino is Hanks Steaks & Martinis which is doing just fine without a Reality TV chef...

I believe they said the winner would head up a new fine Italian restaurant there.

I felt bad for the fat Asian guy. He looked like he was gonna make the top 2 and then, kaboom! down he goes.
I hear he is auditioning for Survivor next.

Thank you for the posting. I thought my wife and I were the only people watching. I cannot turn the show off. I know a lot of chefs, and Ramsey is well beyond the pail. Some I know there are bastards, but not to the level of Ramsey. He has the acclaim. It is so well directed and produced. I have seen his menues and wine lists. He (or those who drive him) are culinary magicians. I love the show. In fact, I will nominate a couple chefs to go on it. I suspect that they will turn it down.

What I want to know is how the hell did the women's team construct and cook their 3 leftover meals in under 7 minutes? Confused
The clock clearly showed them standing around gawking at the ingredients with time running out, when they should have been moving their donkey butts.

Easy; Bonnie is so hot the food cooked right in her hand. All the others had to do is put it together, she touched it, and voila.

Naw, she can't cook, remember? Just a good palate and imagination.
Plus, she burned a NY steak. An exile offense in my kitchen. Ramsey can't seriously think she's got what it takes to run her own. Must be some producers running interference, I figure.
