So who is watching ?

Who do you think is going to win ?

I love watching Ramsey set them up to fail and have customers that come in that pick fights with him.

Im only about 40 min into it, but this cast is way different than last season.

I am watching.

That guy that wears his hat to the side is an idiot. I did not watch this show last season and I am amazed at how much that guy cusses. Its like he (Ramsey) sees himself as the Seargent in Full Metal Jacket. I usually try not to watch this kind of crap, but its so obnoxious and disasterous, I can't help myself.

I don't care who wins but I am looking forward to seeing two of them get set on fire next week. Cool

Ramsey's a pig. I am disgusted at his 'supposed' training techniques.

Yeah ok, it's trashy. But still entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way. I've been wondering all year who's going to be the next Dewberry.
Ramsey screams more than most, but anyone who's worked a restaurant knows that's par for the course.
I was pulling for that Heather gal from the moment I saw her. She exhibits a REAL kitchen demeanor.

I watched some of the episodes last year but didn't know it was on this year. Shows you how much I pay attention to TV listings. Is this going to be on every Monday and if so what time is it on?

not a good sign that they've had two episodes and two trips to the hospital.

The cast seems much weaker in their cooking this season. Last season there were some good cooks, experienced at least. You didn't see people using stoves as hand rails, or not paying attention when an order is called. Even Dewberry knew what to do, he just couldn't do it under pressure.

I think it's really stupid that they pick marketing executives and other people who've never been in a kitchen. I want to smack them when they say they're there to learn so they can be an executive chef in 20 days. Um, you're not going to become a decent line cook in that time. That doesn't mean I won't watch but I have new appreciation for Top Chef.

The speed these people move at shows most have never been in a professional kitchen. I'm no speed demon but I'd be moving faster and I'm pretty fresh out of culinary school. The supposed caterer who couldn't make risotto and the "salad chef" (what the hell's a salad chef, anyway? Do they mean garde manger? I doubt it.) were acting like they were making sandwiches for themselves at home.

The most egregious health violation was that Tom guy breaking a bottle of wine and then pouring it into the food. Who knows how many tiny pieces of glass went into that dish. He should have been pulled then and there. I was shocked that his dish was even tasted.

Totally agree. This show needs to be uncensored. Smile

I have a perverse affection for this show. Such terrible cooks. Like watching a train wreck. Smile

Pure entertainment. I would have never wanted to be next to any of these guys. This is a line cook show and not a culinary show. That is why it is entertainment. NONE of these candidates would ever make a good headline Chef.
They are all line cooks at best and god knows Ramseys frustration has to be real. I would have fired each of those idiots days into the program.

It really is awful but of course I watch. Very few are even qualified to be line cooks. Last year the guy who won at least had decent skills even if they did film him talking to the giant Ramsey billboard. It's not like there's a shortage of talented people who make for good drama. I like Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and Top Chef much better.

I'll watch anything with Ramsay on it, especially the uncensored Nightmares. Though I was seriously peeved that Fox switched it to Channel 36 and showed the effing rounders instead. TiVo will only pick up time changes, unless you program by keyword it won't record on other channels, damn it. Fortunately I was able to BitTorrent last night's episode.

This year's crowd were rubbish compared to last year. I pity the casino that's sponsoring it, I wouldn't trust any of them. Heather looks favourite, but she's seriously lacking imagination or creativity.

Did anyone see the US Iron Chef with Ralph, last year's HK runner up taking on Bobby Flay?

I'm betting there's a clause in the winner's contract that they have X amount of time to show a pre-agreed upon profit for the Red Rock restaurant, or they get the axe. In Vegas? My guess would be 3 months, tops.

Dont think any of the chefs on this season could run a pizza joint, yet alone a Vegas spot. I am waiting for a wine reality show.

No thanks! I apprentice as a chocolatier. I don't have the temperament and I love having nights and weekends to myself too much to do restaurant work. I have a huge amount of respect for those who are able to do it really well.
