I'm in Seattle on business, and am thinking about doing a wine tour this weekend. I'm without car, so can't tour on my own.

Anyone have any comments about the following?

Lifestyle Winery Tours

Washington Wine Tours

Wine & Roses Tours

Snoqualmie Falls & Winery Sightseeing Tour

Thanks in advance for any information!

I'm not familiar with these tours. Not a fan of tours, what do they offer, how much do they cost?

You can do a fair amount of tasting in town without a car. You can start this afternoon with a tasting at Pike and Western (in the Pike Place Market). Michael will be pouring a red blend and Syrah from Syzygy Winery (a newcomer from Walla Walla Cool). The Tasting Room, in the alley behind P&W is a good stop for a variety of WA wines. Delaurenti's has tastings Saturday, as does McCarthy & Schiering, Esquin and others (not necessarily Washington wines, however). Some may require a quick cab. I think the Seattle Times website may have a calender listing of tastings.

Curious, still, to hear what the tours offer.

I have the most information about Washington Wine Tours, as they have a website:

http://washingtonwinetours.com

This is the one that I'm leaning toward, anyway. It seems a little steep, but I don't mind helping to keep local economies going...

But I think I'll leave early today and head to Pike and Western!! Thanks very much for the heads up on all of those!

Rent a car and head up to Woodinville. Contact the following wineries and request a tour and or tasting:

Quilceda Creek
Matthews Cellars
JM Cellars
Januik Cellars
Chateau Ste. Michelle

There are loads of others, but we enjoyed those the most.

Just one more sip.

Thanks for the tip, but if I want to taste (which I do!), I can't be the driver, and I'm alone. That's why I was thinking of doing a bus tour. The one that I was interested in went to Woodinville, but unfortunately, isn't happening today. So, work will have to do.

If you do take a tour, I hope you'll post your experience here. I sometimes travel to Seattle and I'd be interested in something similar. Thanks in advance!
