I agree with others that the PC thing has gotten way out of control in this country. When I initially read B-O’s post, the description of the men just painted the picture for the story and it didn’t even cross my mind that using that description was inappropriate.

How boring would stories be if you could only say, “an individual went into a bar”.

Even better: "We were seated next to two unusually aromatic and boisterous individuals, who were incompatible with my comfort level."
