Nope, don't like it. I won't pass up a decent taco because of it, but anything tastes better without it than with it.

Not possible. Without cilantro it is impossible for it to be a "decent" taco. Cool

I can't believe someone wasted the time and energy to put up an "I hate cilantro" website, even as a joke. I wonder what his other priorities are? Roll Eyes

mneeley490,

The cilantro haters are a vituperative lot! Razz I know some people who are truly passionate about their abhorrence for this herb. It's part of what motivated me to start this thread. Must be some genetic thing that causes this to taste so horrible to some people? Confused

There are a number of chemicals that there are well knowned genetic traits as to your sensitivity to them. Coriander/Cilantro is one of these. I'm one of these, it pretty much ruins anything prepared with it.

I find cilantro to be the perfect accompaniment to the beans in my chili.

Though I have, at times, found the overdone level in some breakfast burritos.

She is yanking our collective chains. She knows how I abhor any meat with a fruit sauce on it. Savory and sweet do not go together anymore than cilantro and .... anything.
