Looking forsuggestions on which line of appliances to get/avoid based on experience.
Thinking of adding eurocave under the counter under a nook/bar area within kitchen as a heads up.
Stainless Stell is preferred.
Thanks a bunch.

Buy what you like. If you like SS get it. I had black appliances inmy ols kitchen and now have SS. I used to think it was a cold look, but with the right floring, countertops and accessories it looks warm. I love my Viking cooktop. It has its challenges with keeping around the burners clean, if you cook alot. I just got the GE Prodife microwave convection oven and like it alot. I bought Fridgidaire Professional series in the other products. Bad hinge on the oven door, maybe a fluke, but it works well as far as baking, etc.. Electrolux makes this product line. Hope this helps.

I like DCS

DCS makes GE Monogam, which seems cool.

Thermador Professional, I also like.

We went with Kitchenaid (double convection oven, dishwasher, cooktop and refrigerator). So far haven't had any problems. Really like the ovens and cooktop. Dishwasher works great but it is a bit noisy and that was disappointing since it's one of their higher end lines.

A few random thoughts DD.

We have an all SS kitchen, but please know I would not want it if small children were still running around a lot.

My last two trips to Europe I noticed a movement towards induction cooktops, and I now have seen the same movement in the $5 million and up homes here. Very green and LEED AP. Cool

We went to the French Door style fridge and truly like it.

I'm a BIG fan of both Bosch and Miele dishwashers.

We also have found the double convection oven comes in handy from time to time. We do not own a microwave oven.

I agree with w+a, Bosch Dishwashers is a must have. You will open it when its running because it is so quiet.

We remodeled our kitchen almost 3 years ago. We went with a Dacor Epicurian cooktop and Dacor double oven (convection on top of conventional). I love both Dacor products. We installed a SubZ fridge and have not been disappointed. I wanted an under-the-counter 50 bottle wine fridge in the kitchen to have some wine handy. I went with the Marvel unit that allows you to put a cabinet front on it. I like the look of everything built in. We already had a Miele dishwasher and I second w+a's recommendation on the dishwasher.

I could not be more pleased with all the appliances. My only regret has been the sink. We installed a Franke with one side that is large and the other smaller. I would not do that again. Not enough clean-up room.

Good luck.
