Ok, you locals know its in Rancho Sante Fe. But most importantly, they are still serving a $35 prix fixe menu. What a bargain! Can't remember all choices on the menu but the duck entree was fantastic. The 2007 Wild Earth pinot noir went well with it. Details posted in Tasting Notes sub-forum.

Thanks for this note and for your tasting note as well. Do you recall the price of the Wild Earth pinot at Mille Fleur? Also, do you know what their corkage policy is?

Javachip, I believe bottle price was $55 (seemed much better than the $550 for a '99 Lafite). And I remember their corkage fee, $30. Well, at least the menu prices are reasonable...

Was this an extension of restaurant week? I have noted a number of eateries extending the restaurant week deals. We ate at Roseville on Sunday and they were still offering the prix fixe menu, as well as individual appetizer/entree menu.

"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams . If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

Yes it is.

I was just in Manhattan this weekend and there were some prix fixe menus on holdout from NYC restaurant week. The economy may have tanked, but there is a tiny, tiny benifit of it all.

Mille Fleur also had a nice tapas menu on Tuesdays.
