Padma. Enough said. Wow. Great outfit. Very feminine, very classy. She looked especially nice. Oh, I said enough said. Smile

Based on the show last night, Antonia deserved to go home, but based on the complete body of work, Lisa should have gone. I would love to hear Lisa’s reaction to the poll question.

Stephanie and Dale coming up with that salad after her pork belly got ruined turned out to be one of the judges favorite dishes. That was cool. Richard again showed he was the most creative. Finals should be fun.

I am a little surprised by the insensitivity and homophobia directed toward Lisa. Who is to say what is feminine or not? One's impression of femaleness and maleness are purely societal constructs anyway. Razz

I kind of liked Antonia, but she wasn't high enough caliber to win. I find Lisa off-putting because of her foul mouth. The other two are courteous, polite and professional. I would not be disappointed if either won.

I agree entirely with CDR - although Lisa's foul mouth does not bother me nearly as much as her apparently horrible disposition and consistently being unable to cook yet somehow surviving. Otherwise based on this episode alone I agree that it seemed Antonia was the right decision. With that said, I don't see how they don't consider overall body of work when deciding who to eliminate - while they say it is challenge by challenge, sometimes they do this and sometimes not.

As I said to MLV last night, if Lisa somehow wins this, I vow to not watch this show again . . . . . ...

until next seasont that is. Big Grin

I always watch the next day so had to avoid reading this string...Antonia's food appeared to be the worst fo the 4 that day. I'd like to think it's the body of work but apparemtly not...Lisa seems to be in every bottom 2/3 but is always next to last. Her foul mouth and attitude are dispicable. And her comments to the other two abotu congratulating her were ridiculous...instead of responding with an insincere "congratulations" I would have much preferred "f&$% off"

I think it is close between Richard and Stephanie- again I think it will come down to the challenge itself as to who will win as both are talented.

Spo,

What's the deal? The last couple of posts directed toward me have been an accusation that I post messages on your myspace or something and now you call me a prick. What's the problem?

I was just kidding about the myspace page. The statement was absurd because the likelihood of someone like you and your age having a myspace page is fairly low. That was inn the blog thread right. Guess that joke fell flat. As for you being a prick, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings but...uh...um....gee.....

I hope you are not getting all sensitive on me.

I don't know what is better - the show or this thread! Lisa is a piece of work. "you guys should have congratulated me."! I almost spit out my wine.

Just catching the end of the last episode again (waiting for the finale) and I have to say (again) Lisa is terrible.

If she wins this thing I'm boycotting the show.

Richard and Stephanie are much better chefs and have more class and personality in their little finger than Lisa has ever had in her life.

I'm thinking that the fear of this sort of backlash was a factor in picking the winner, thank god.

And thank god for the end of 5 Kathy Griffin commercials every Wednesday night.

VT2IT: I agree- I think she put out a nice spread but it's great to see that Stephanie won. I was pulling for Richard as he appeared to be the most "talented" but Stephanie was great and most importantly, seemed like a good person and genuine.

tdangio: I couldn't agree more! Those stupid commercials drove us nuts!

Good result - Stephanie is a deserving winner - other than a 2 episode stumble fairly early she has consistently been among the best and her and Richard seemed like good people - her reaction to the Dale screw up and how they fixed it said a lot -

If Lisa had won, MLV and I would have been royally peeved -

Always cool to see Eric Ripert -

Wow! Ok. I'm glad I nailed the winner but at 10:50 last night I was saying to myself, "they are going to pick Lisa." I'm not there eating this food, but based on the comments during and after the meal, my course scorecard had Lisa beating out Stephanie. I think a dead heat or even Lisa with a slight edge, they would go with Stephanie.

They won't admit it but I think when it came to those two they didn't completely go off of the final meal. Stephanie was the better chef all season and destroyed Lisa in challenge wins. Who knows. I'm glad she won though.

Richard defintely choked. It was cool he admitted it. Lisa knew what she wanted to do. Gotta give her credit for that. Of course she had to drop her last F bomb at the end when commenting on Stephanie being picked. Roll Eyes Why start being classy on the final episode?

I love a final with 3 chefs. Much more interesting. I hope they keep that format for next season.

This is going to be a long off season. I hope they continue to re-run previous seasons. I'm burnt out on Season 3 and Season 4. Re-run Season 1 and 2!

I'm wondering if Stephanie will try to open a restaurant in Chicago now. I know Dale is from here as well, I wonder where he is working. I thought he got booted a little early.

Hunter summed it up. Lisa never had a chance (nor did she deserve one).

I think they wanted to give it to Richard because of his creativity but he just didnt execute. I knew he wa sin trouble when on day 2 he was still figuring otu what he was going to do. I think the raw oyster with tabasco ice cream would have been awesome.

In any case, I think Stepahnie was the most consistent and well deserving.

The biggest laugh was when Lisa was talking about how she got along with the guest chef and that it was a good thing because "when you're happy, your food tastes better"- that said it right there..

Yeah, I was scared they were going to pick Lisa as well. I liked Stephanie, but I just don’t see her going on to be a big time foodie chief. I see her running a more home cooking, casual type restaurant, which is not a bad thing.

Richard will be fine; he has the desire and the passion for it. Lisa, I see flipping burgers with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth at some roadside (all female) biker bar. Yuck.

TLV, Stephanie was the owner/chef of Scylla up until last year. I'm pretty sure we'll see her re-open or open something up pretty soon. Aside: she was Dale's sous chef at La Tache.

Stephanie mentioned in the first Puerto Rico episode that she knew Dale for 10 years when she chose him to help her on the pre final challenge.

I should clarify that she was sous for Dale Levitski, from Season 3.
