Didn't like that show. Almost like the kids show a little - although not quite as bad as that. Still, that has to be the first episode where I didn't want to eat anything they made.

Glad Andrew is gone. He was getting more annoying every week in his interview cuts. Strange dude who thought he was better than he was.

Ok. My predications of eliminations in the following order:

Bottom 3 for sure:

Spike
Lisa
Antonia

Top 3:

Dale
Stephanie (Runner Up)*
Richard (Top Chef)

*I do think Stephanie is more versatile than Dale. Baking a wedding cake and a great soup in 2 consecutive weeks has been impressive. I like her judgement and choices. Actually, if the right challenge is up her alley in the final, she could win the whole thing.

We'll see. I hate waiting a whole week. Smile

The salads from the quick fire challenge were horrible last night. Dude, in 45 mins I could have made a better salad!!

Can we get Lisa’s ugly mug off this show already?? I’m sick of the cursing, the complaining and the waddling around the kitchen.

I'm not overly impressed with any of the "chefs" left. The previous seasons seemed to have more talent and less whining.

I think Dale has potential, but as was pointed out in the episode, can he make anything that isn't Veitnamese (or Asian in some regard)?

At this point I'd agree with Richard as Top Chef from what I've seen. Lisa is annoying and very bitchy- not very talented either, and Antonia seems like a great at home cook, just not a chef.

Stephanie seems to be talented, so I'd guess it'd be down to her or Richard...unless the final few challenges involve a lot of Vietnamese food!

EDIT: Both challenges were pretty simple and it's amazing how some of these "chefs" screwed it up so badly. Like GlennK said, 45 minutes to make a salad? Roll Eyes

Yeah. Did you see her face when the guest judge was being critical of her salad? Pure ugly disgust.

She is terrible - seems to be both a lousy cook and person - I don't know how she has survived - Richard, Dale and Stephanie are clearly in a different league from the rest. Richard seems to be the best by far on the season as a whole although this seemed to be a bad week for him.

As long as they are the top 3 - I don't care how the order pans out - any other result would be absurd. Dale correctly noted his winning percentage - these 3 seem to win every challenge - that says something

Not that it will make any difference, but I wrote Bravo a letter complaining about the language of the contestants this season. I can't remember the contestants swearing much at all during season 3. There may have some occasional language used but I can't remember anybody dropping the f-bomb. Richard is a lot more likable as a contestant because I do not believe that I have ever heard him use obscenities.

Great Job Alta! I'm glad you did that and can only hope others did too.

Just because something is bleeped doesn't mean you can't tell what they are saying. Kids aren't stupid either - they can tell. Besides those reasons, it just takes away class from a show that should be higher end than that.

I'm sorry to use foul language but Lisa is a nasty little b*tch for tattling on Andrew for omitting the whole grains. And she's a b*tch in the way that Dale is a b*tch.

I agree. That is a loooooong time to make a salad. None of them really seemed that exciting even with that amount of time.

I am amazed at the way a few of the contestants (most notably Lisa and now ex Spike) treat the judges. Somehow arguiing with your potential executioner might make the knife come quicker.

It goes to show that these bottom-3'ers are not at the same level on a personal, or cooking level, as the others.

They have even begun cursing while standing before the Judge's Table. DUH.

I'm not a prude on language, but this is out-of-hand. If I wanted to hear all this cursing I'd buy a RAP song.

Cool

Looking forward to tonight. Spike or Lisa goes home I hope. Lisa, for too many reasons to name. Spike for trying so hard to be cool and I'm tired of looking at his hats.

Well, you managed to pick all the members of the losing team. While it was a tough choice to pick the loser between Dale and Lisa, I think they were right to kick Dale, he really blew it as the "Executive Chef" and the way he acted actually made Lisa look OK in comparison. And Spike actually cleaned up pretty well when they got rid of the hat and put him in a suit. I think AB got it right, by some combination of luck, Spike managed to stay out of the middle of the train wreck that was Dale and Lisa in the kitchen.

When in doubt, open another bottle.

Good show. Love restaurant wars. That's what this show is all about.

Antonia winning that short order breakfast challenge was so huge. A 3 on 3 restaurant challenge and she gets to pick Stephanie and Richard. Wow - she scored there. That second I knew they were winning and probably pretty easily, which they did.

It was close and I probably would have fired Lisa as her 2 dishes seemed to be the worst, but I understand Dale going too. Plus they were doing asian - how ironic for Dale to get booted over it.

Oh and how about when they brought out 4 of the chefs that got let go so each team could hire one as a helper? One picks Nikki and the other picks Jen. Mark and Andrew just have to stand there like 2 dorky kids not picked for a football game - humiliated again! lol. I felt bad for them there. Like told to go home by the judges is bad enough. Now they bring you out so the chef contestants can say no to you again. Smile

Stephanie is getting better and better. Her final 2 slot IMO is pretty locked in now and you can tell her and Richard are pretty tight, so a final battle would really be great.

Damn! Missed this one- completely forgot it was on. Oh well, you guys provided great recaps (gracias!). I'll keep an eye out for the rerun though as it sounds like I missed a good show.

I hope Lisa goes next, though Smile

The show was good enough.
I can't believe Lisa is still on there. What a pain in the butt. What a crappy attitude.

Dale didn't do himself proud that's for sure, but when you have a team mate that is anything but, you're screwed. He was. Spike got really lucky on this one.

The next "team" event that gets paired with Lisa, needs to cry foul.

I'm sorry but both Dale and Lisa should be gone. They are both useless brats. I kind of overlooked Dale's petulance for a while but he is no leader, no chef. He and Lisa conducted themselves like fighting siblings in front of the judges and they should both be embarrassed.

I had recorded and only watched last night...

I agree Dale sucked in this challenge but c'mon, he is a better chef than Lisa. She royally screwed up both her dishes and has a horrible attitude. I hate the "they were executive chef" excuse..this is Top Chef, Dale shouldn't be accountable for Lisa's crappy dishes.

Can Lisa go through one judge's table without dropping an f-bomb? Totally unrpofessional.

Lisa or Spike will go next...whoever doesn't will follow.

I still like Richard but the gap has lessened..

Lisa is just horrible. I don't want to look at her, I certainly don't want to hear her and I definitely don't to see her cook. I can;t rememebr one thing that she has made that looked remotely appealing. how she has lasted this long is just crazy.

But, Dale and his whining were on my last nerve.

Now I am going to the Bravo website to get Stephanie's gorgonzola cheesecake recipe.

Lisa has got to go....just on bad taste and behavior alone. I don't care how good she might cook (and she doesn't), she is a troll of a human.

The judges are probably having security stand nearby any more with the behavior of these losing teams. Man, what a bunch of juvenile soreheads.

As MLV will attest as I kept pausing to explain-you knew from the beginning once Antonia chose 2 of the 3 best chefs (it is fairly clear that Richard is in a class by himself and that Stephanie and Dale were the 2 other strongest chefs) that Dale was screwed. SPike and Lisa had already grouped agains thim in the last 2 challenges and this redux of Wedding Wars it was clear that they were going to get killed and that he was on his own. That said - he acted like a douche and did not do a good job. But having won a quarter of the challenges - and it seems that he, Richard and Stephanie have won virtually all the elimination challenges except for that kiddie stirfry one - it is insanse that Lisa - who is always in the bottom, who has not cooked a single good food product the entire show, who has a horrible attitude and no redeeming qualities other than being good at cra**ing on people in the judge's table - was kept and Dale was eliminated - Stephanie and Richard's reactions were excellent - someone who could challenge them gone - two weak chefs remain behind - A total farce if you ask me.

Lisa....the Sanjia (spelling) of Top Chef!! Wink

Well, that isn't fair....Sanjia was fairly likeable and could croon a song or two.

Lisa appears to be both an awful person and a mediocre chef. At best.

Lisa....Booooo Boooooo Booooo

Every year the producers decide to keep some horrible contestant around. I really hated the restaurant wars where Trey was eliminated because he was head chef despite CJ and others on his team being weaker chefs.

Dale was screwed because he has proven to be a cry baby and a pouter and a jerk in group situations. I can not stand Lisa. I loathe her. However, Dale yelling and carrying on as he does in the kitchen does not engender teamwork. He and Lisa are just two of a kind.
