I'll be going here in a couple weeks for a business dinner (on me).
It's a steak and prime rib place. Check out the winelist and advise.

I won't support them. They list a wine with Syrah as a Meritage.

But seriously. The older vintage of Montelena Estate are cheaper than I've seen them retail lately (but not cheaper than auction).

That 1998 Ch Simard might look good too, but Cellartracker doesn't like that wine. Good restaurant price for the 1999 Jaboulet La Chapelle, a brilliant wine.

Went to the one in DC a few years ago, but we didn't go for the wine. Still the best prime rib I've ever had. Had Vegas beat by a mile! Big Grin

Dinner last night. Two had the Prime Rib, I had steak au poivre. Various sides. Dinner was quite excellent.
Went with a bottle of Audelssa "Tephra" 2006 from Sonoma. Blend of Cab, Syrah and a teeny bit of Zinfandel. Has the spice from the syrah, the red fruit from the cabernet and the zip from the zin. I think that WS gave this about 92 points or so, and I agree. It has medium body and a pretty long finish without being overly tannic.
It held up to the peppery-ness of the Steak au poivre.
I think this retails for about $29 or so, and they had it for $50.
