I am looking for a great place to pick-up steaks in the Ottawa Cumberland area. I would usually bring them from Toronto but I am stoping to play a round of golf on the way and do not want to risk it. I am looking for something like a 30-60 day dry aged t-bone or ribeye.

Hope this isn't too late Gibby.

I don't know Cumberland well but there's a great butcher shop that should be on your way, presuming you are taking hwy 174. Get off at the Montreal Road exit and go a bit west (maybe half a km) on Montreal Road to Ogilvie. Turn right (north) on Ogilvie and after about 300 metres you'll hit a very small mall (big Shoppers and Salvation Army stores) where there's a little family butcher shop that sells steaks to die for. I don't know the name but if you find the little mall (shouldn't be too tough) you'll find the butcher shop (beside the inside entrance to Shoppers)

Next time you're here, let me know and we can set up an offline. My list cache of special bottles needs depleting! Big Grin

I did too! Cool My buddy and I would get the $2 nosebleed seats, near Crazy George or whatever that guys in the upper level called himself. Once passed by Bob Lanier after a game and yes, his feet looked like they were about size 21 or whatever it was.

Are you from Windsor? Either way, sounds like we'll have lots to talk about if we ever do offline. Smile

Sorry for the tardy reply Bman

Yep spent the first 19 years of my life there.

Cobo Arena/Olympia and my favourite Tiger Stadium

I seen Bob Lanier at at friend's house since he was playing poker with my friend's Dad. Up close and personal the man was a 'human eclipse' period Eek.

I understand all the teams on your signature but the Bruins???

Mancrush on Pieface MaKenzie perhaps Big Grin

My cousin is Wayne Carleton. If you recognize his name, you may recall that he won the Cup with the Bruins, was on the ice when Bobby Orr scored that iconic OT goal in fact. Wayne got us two tickets behind the bench each time his team came to Detroit, then went for pizza with us or came to the house after the games. He'd introduce us to his friends too (i.e. Esposito, Orr, Cheevers). Been a hard-core Bruins fan ever since.
