i will be celebrating their return with hearty Itallian-American fare: spaghetti and meatballs and Fontodi Chianti Classico, with caprese salata to start with. and because nobody makes good tiramisu around here, i will make my own. now, the question is not what drink with tiramisu, but who's gonna get whacked first? I don't get cable TV, so I don't follow the sopranos. However, it is my understanding that most of the MAFIA types have their roots in Sicily.
You might try a really dry Sicilian wine, like a Corvo. (Although it is not a 90 point wine by any stretch).
Buon Appetito, mi amici, Grunhauser!

Well, Morgante and Regaliale are both excellent producers as well. Perhaps a Rosso del Conte? A Don Antonio? I'm still deciding on what we're gonna eat. Probably something bloody Wink

For the premier we had a Sicilian olive mix, a few good italian cheeses (provolone included, naturally) and a bottle of Chianti Classico.

My favorites for "Soprano Sundays" are stuffed artichokes and spicy Cappicola (pronounced Ga-ba-gool).

Any comments on the 1st episode?
