After the infamous screen door incident, I never would have taken you as a "puff pastry" kinda guy!

Big Grin Funny

First time I tried this. Like it. However, next time I'll forego the pastry to keep it together and use tootpicks or twine. The pastry, while very good, was unnecessary.

Reminds me of a dear friend of mine. He tried to make Beef Wellington, but couldn't find puff pastry, so he substituted phyllo dough. Wasn't quite the same. Big Grin

I would think not. Big Grin

To be honest, D & I aren't big fans of puff pastry wrapped meat. I believe that is what mostly inspired my thoughts that it didn't 'add' to the ensemble.

As a recipe it works, and if you like that I believe you'd feel it worked very well indeed.

Rattlesnake cakes (free range Big Grin )

Turkey tenderloin with a bunch of southwestern spices

Both at a highly recommended restaurant, Cafe Diablo, in Torrey, Utah. Best meal I've had in the first 9 days of our vacation was an outstanding burger in a bar in Red Lodge, Montana.

Just one more sip.

You are such a foody, I'm surprised that you're not more active in the kitchen.

I've said it before, but I love your honesty. You've painted quite a picture that only one's mind need complete. Big Grin

Ha! Big Grin

I'm indeed a foody, and enjoy the kitchen a great deal.

I left for the office at 4:45 am, and walked in the door after 8 pm, so not so interested in much last night. Wink
