Got some fresh Morel mushrooms at a farmer’s market so made a roast chicken with a morel mushroom demi glace, nugget potatoes and new carrots. Had it with the Buty Merlot/Cab Franc I picked up on a trip to Walla Walla Washington last year.

Grilled turkey (1/2 split) for the first time tonight. Came out perfect. Herbs de Provance dry rub and cooked about 2 hrs at 350 degrees skin side down at first then turning after about an hour. Juicy and delicious.

The boys had junior golf last night, so it was a re-heating of Sunday dinner. But to mix it up, I changed wines to a 2008 Etude Pinot Noir Rose.
