Pittsburgh PA is about 2 1/2 hrs. from me and I head in that direction for shopping and a visit with my son.....what nice suggestions does anyone have for dinner?? I prefer to stay at least in or near the downtown area since getting lost is way too easy for me!!

You can't go wrong with Monterey Bay Fish Grotto which is on Mt Washington so affords beautiful views of the city at night.

Thank you, Merris! I have been to Mt. Washington before, but have never had the pleasure of this particular restaurant! I'll give it a try!!

ditto on Montery Bay if a view is high on the list.

for affordable wine and good food, try the carlton in Mellon Bank center. There is parking under the building and the restaurant will validate. I believe wine is cost plus $10.

the best steak in town (IMHO)is the local Ruth's Chris in PPG plaza.
