Fellow Forumites,
Just thought I'd share my thoughts on a great establishment run by one of our own, as I feel this place needs more exposure.
Here's what I wrote in the Restaurant Review section of WS; I'd recommend you read WIML's review as well.

Comment: I was prepared to write a glowing review here, but I see WIML's comments have preceeded practically everything I was going to scribe. Let me just see what I may add to Joes' comments. This is not a diamond in the rough. This is a brilliantly polished diamond sitting alone in a singular setting. If you are traveling Hwy 101 along the Oregon Coast, Pacific City may not be on your itinerary, but the Delicate Palate MUST be. Besides the skillfully drawn, food-oriented winelist and excellent fare, I would point out that on my visit, the waitstaff was the equal of any big city, fine dining establishment (and better than many) that I have been to. Wine, food, and service. A perfect trifecta!"

I want to publicly thank benchland and his wife for their hospitality and skills. I came in with a party of 10 that included my parents celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, other seniors, teenagers, and my wife and I in the middle. Some oenephiles, some not. He and his staff not only put everyone at ease, but managed to more than please everyone in this eclectic lot. No easy task, let me tell you.
I also want to than Jenn for her fantastic pan-seared duck breast on chanterelle mushroom & asparagus risotto with fontina cheese, and red wine-black cherry glaze.. Man, I'm going to be jonesing for that for quite some time. And I know the rest of my party enjoyed their meals as much as I did mine.

So thanks again Geoff, for a very special evening!

Thanks for posting. The menu and wine list look great. My wife and I have decided to pass on going to Europe next year and are going to Oregon instead. We are planning to go to the coast, so this looks great. Appreciate the recommendation.

Nice! I'll definitely add this to my must-try list. Thanks for posting, mneeley490. I also had a chuckle at the "....in this eclectic lot..." Big Grin

Cheers!

Thanks for the review Mike! Cool

I wish we could have gotten together Monday. We grilled some fresh Dory caught tuna and sat around the fire pit watering ourselves down from the weekend.

I should have the picture proofs back this week so I expect the website to be launched in the next two weeks. I can't wait to update the menu's and display some of the remodel!
