Had a terrific meal this weekend at La Tavola in Baltimore. The chef is from Veneto. We had a
house bruschetta, mozzarella fresca, a delicious sea bream, and a ribeye, over arugala.
Enjoyed a 2005 Chianti Classico Pepponi from Antinori.
I highly recommend this place, lesser known than some of our Little Italy establishments.

We ate there a while back and thought it was just OK. Seafood was good, but the ragu bolognese was a big letdown and a beef carpaccio was bland. Perhaps it's time for me to go back and give it another shot.

On a side note, have you eaten at Sotto Sopra?

Yes. Food was way oversalted. It was a couple years back. Maybe I should go back there and "give it another shot", to use your expression.
