We are visiting Tucson for a few days. Does anyone know of nice places to eat. We are open to low end to high end. Although this is WS, wine will not be an issue. Thanks

It has admittedly been a few years (4 or 5??) since I've been to Tucson, The best meal I had, considering both food and wine, was at Janos. It is now located within the Westin La Paloma Resort.

Two places I would try:

1. "The Grill" at the Hacienda del Sol.
2. "The Ventana Room" at Ventana Canyon.

Last summer The Grill had 1/2 off wine prices at certain days of the week and this is worth looking into. Here is a review of the restaurant that I wrote last year on this forum: The Grill.

I have not eaten at the Ventana Room but Tbird has and he recommended it to me last year. My wife and I stayed a few nights at the Ventana Canyon Resort after we had been at the Hacienda del Sol and since we had spent our budget for our one very nice meal with wines at The Grill, we didn't eat at the Ventana Room. This I can say, however, and that is the view from that location was absolutely stunning and once we got to the hotel we regretted we had not had our meal there instead of at The Grill.

I'll add that we had friends who ate at the Grill a few nights after we did and they were singing its praises to high heaven. You'll find both of the above restaurants expensive, but based on the menu marquee of the Ventana Room, I'd say the latter is appreciably more expensive. They had, however, some exotic boar dishes and other items not on the standard fare that are probably worth every penny that they charge.

I second Del Sol! Great dinning place.
I had a Yquem by glass there.

Ricky, I checked their website and they have the same "1/2" price offer for Tuesdays this summer too. On an Yquem, that would be a piece of change saved, for sure!
