Went for Lunch this Saturday 3/21 – it was about the best lunch I have ever had both tasting and price-wise. I’ve been there for dinner before with my fiancé and thought it was tasty but expensive. I saw they had a lunch menu so I went there this weekend for lunch while I was up in the area.

The menu choices were all the standard German faire – Sauerbraten with homemade gingersnap sauce, Kessler Ripchen etc. But all lunch entrees were priced at $10. I had the Sauerbraten and it came with a Mushroom Bisque that was very tasty and a couple of fresh-baked rolls. The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice – it feels like you are in a German castle with vaulted ceilings and woodcuts on the walls. The wine list is nothing special – they probably had around 100 choices but they had some nice choices and a few trophy wines.

I would highly recommend this place for lunch and will try to go there next time I am in Milwaukee. For dinner, slightly less recommended due to cost, but still a good place to go if you’ve never been there before or are looking for someplace special.
