DnVD-

How was the Relentless showing? Based on what I have read, this vintage has much more "staying power" than the 2004. Would you agree?

I thought it was in a real good place. Didn't even need to decant it. That being said, I think it has quite a few years ahead of it before heading downhill....

Was it a live lobster? What was your method of preparation?

Just one more sip.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but I just recently bought a cast iron skillet. SOme of you know I am not much of a cook. For the first time I left the steak out to get to room temperature, I let the skillet get hot, I put salt and pepper and herbs on my steak and threw it down...the best exterior and interior on a piece of meat I have ever cooked at home. It was a bone-in rib eye by the way.

Inky, I salute you.

No, the lobsters had been precooked, so only 'finished them' on the grill. We did baste them with a simple olive oil, garlic and lemon mix, however.

Some of the women weren't too thrilled with the idea of cooking live lobsters. Especially in front of the kids that would be there. We were joking about the noises that would incur. Lobsters banging on the closed BBQ lid, trying to get out. Big Grin

Sunday – Korean curry rice with the 1996 Henri Abele Reserve
Monday – BBQ with the whole family, hamburgers, hot links, variety of salads and plenty of beers.

For dinner? Dude, Grill some chicken and cut it over salad or something then take a jog. You will be hallucinating in your sleep with a diet like that. Razz

Speaking of hallucination, dreamed of a stuffed pizza with bacon, calms, ricotta and parmigian cheese ...
