It's my wife's birthday next week so I'm looking for somewhere nice to eat. The obvious choice is Manresa, but they have a theme night that weekend and I'm not sure if she'd be interested in it.

Looking for suggestions. Anyone been to Arcadia recently? How about the Plumed Horse in Saratoga?

I'd call 'D'. Is he on your Facebook? He's at the place in Santana Row 'Village Wine Bistro' with Thomas Ricci cooking. See if he couldn't get Thomas to do something off menu / special for you. Make a big deal out of being a local wine big shot.

No, I don't think he is. Can you hook me up?
We'll probably end up doing Manresa anyway, just wanted to make sure I have a backup option.

Set you up. JR and Renee had good things to say about Plumed Horse. Arcadia was solid last time we went. My usual birthday dinner is a dive off Bourbon Street and a night at Rick's. Stef always wants me to cook for her on hers.

Somehow I don't think that's going to be an option...
