I'm in Houston every month, but have never been to the R/C in Houston. |

IMO Ruth's wine list is limited selections, and the Bordeaux they carry are in the less than stellar years. Its been over a year since i've been there-hopefully things have changed.

Most people that dine at those places are on expense accounts and don’t know or don’t care about the high mark ups. “What is the soup du jour?"...It’s the soup of the day..."Mmmm, that sounds good, I’ll have that” - Lloyd Christmas |

I am not on an expense account, and would most assuredly like to partake a good meal, with nice wine, as part of our normal live entertainment budget. The top four of these are all here in a snow bird area of Florida, yet there are those like use that live here all year. A passable dinner for 2 runs over $ 200. Yuck |

Was at Mortons in West Palm Beach last night, and while many of the wines were overpriced, there were a few wines that seemed like decent values. 2003 Beringer private reserve cab for $80 a bottle.
They had 03 Grange for $257 a bottle. We brought two bottles in and they waived the corkage fee. |
