I'm still looking for new ideas. I'm thinking rib roast or lamb chops. I like ham but it doesn't pair well with the heavy reds that I drink. Looking for something a little different this year. I can cook anything. What's you got?

I don't know how we got there, but lasagna and meatballs has become traditional Easter fare in my house. Home made ricotta is the key to the lasagna. One of my favorite meals of the year!

mwg.... Why is there a "razz" at the end of every one of your posts? Is that your signature? With all due respect it's getting a bit redundant.

I am going to pop a 1995 Barbe Rac with my lamb. It's not heavy.......

He started the razzies when w+a called him out the first time. He'll continue them ad nauseaum as long as he's allowed to post here because he's vigilant, thick skinned and loves getting a rise out of people online.

mwg, please allow me to offer a little help. I have long been sympathetic to the challenged in life.

Redundant.... excessive, unnecessary, repetition, and predictable.

I bought lamb chops at the Fresh Market that I am going to use a balsamic reduction on. Going to pair them with either a Rosenblum Richard's or I might try a Seven Sinner's Syrah. Probably both. Merry Easter!

Ham, country club potatoes, roasted vegi's.

Trying to decide which Oregon Pinot Noir I am going to open. Will let it swirl in my new Wine swirler for about an hour, should be opened up and very nice then.

Easter Dinner for my wife and I will have sort of a Southern theme this year:

  • Glazed Ham
  • Scalloped Corn Supreme (sort of a corn souffle)
  • Steamed Asparagus
  • 2006 Navarro Pinot Gris
  • Buttermilk Lemon Chess Pie

I was thinking rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese since I was unable to get a rack of lamb. Ended up with some nice scallops with olives, capers and tomatoes and potatoes.

Mint and Clover Honey Glazed Baby Carrots
Potato and Leek Tart
Lemon Mousse Cake

...and everything was outstanding!
