Copper River Sockeye is here is Seattle this week at $25/lb. That will drop in a few days, and King will be here in a few weeks.

Bought a little over a pound piece today at $35 per pound at Whole Foods.

I was advised that the price will drop to $17 per pound on Wednesday at Whole Foods.

Looks like I will be having more next week!

Stopped at Wegmans on the way home from the Memorial Day program and picked up a little over a pound (24.99 per lb. - second shipment).

Cedar planks are soaking!

I guess its time for me to get down to Whole Foods this week. Any other recommendations other than lemon, salt, & pepper with a decent pinot?

Salmon is one of my least favorite “cooked” fish (love it raw). I have had copper river salmon at restaurants and enjoyed it, but again didn’t wow me. It’s been a while, maybe I should give it another go.

The price drops by 50% here this Wednesday at Whole Foods.

That said, I bought it again today anyway. Cool

It didn't "wow" me either the first time I had it. I had to learn to appreciate it compared to that farm raised stuff. I will not knowingly eat salmon that is not wild anymore.

I've enjoyed it with a tiny bit of minced garlic and a few fresh dill sprigs

$10.99??? Where do you live?

I picked up some for $23.99 at the local Whole Foods (the only source for really good fish around me). It was fantastic. Based on recommendations here I just broiled then baked it with some olive oil drizzled on, sea salt, and white pepper. What a great fish!
