I have a gift certificate for a cooking school that I haven't used in the 15 months since I got it.

Just one more sip.

I attended Le Shule de Trial-n-Error.

It's kinda like Phoenix College where you take all the classes on-line. No profs, but you work at your own pace.

Counselor - very funny Big Grin What kind of grades did you get?

rez - I think I know what you mean. I did a three day class when my local Viking center opened up and was deeply disappointed. I picked it because it looked the most rigorous of that type; I thought I might get a touch of the science and real understanding you'd get at a professional cooking school. Instead, we made a bunch of recipes and had lunch each day -oh well.

By "Recreational cooking school" I mean not professional or vocational.

I mean a cooking school where you go with your wife or husband or friends to learn few tips on how to cook a particular meal, dessert, etc ...
Often they have hands on classes, series, etc ...

If you're in the Reno area, http://www.nothingtoit.com/. Classes are fun, educational and there's a store so you can buy the tools you need.
