Had lunch at Jaleo today. Went to the Newseum.
Jaleo was quite good as usual. But, I've never seen it that empty. 1PM on a Sunday? Used to have to wait for a table.
Had bread, tomato sauce and anchovies. Spanish omelet, with goat cheese. Beet salad, with citrus. And asparagus with a romesco sauce.
Tried a glass of ALICANTE- Bernabe Navarro Beryna ‘05 - Monastrell, Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon and then a glass of RIAS BAIXAS - Martín Códax ’06 - Albariño
Finished the meal with a fruit soup with cheese ice cream.

I like Jaleo a lot. I went there with a colleague once and we ate and drank all evening. We went through 4 bottles of wine (just the 2 of us), then had a sherry flight each as a night cap. Eek But, I felt great the next day.
