After 8 days in Acapulco, my wife & I were very pleasantly surprised with the number of quality, fine dining sites. Heading the list are Kookaburra, Madeiras, Tabachin, Su Casa, etc. The one place self-touted as the place "to be and to be seen," namely Baikal, was a TOTAL TURN OFF...arrogant, insensitive, overpriced, misleading, mediocre quality, etc. STAY AWAY!
In general, the wine lists at the best restaurants in Acapulco do not measure up to U.S. standards, but the culinary choices are excellent.
We were really pleased with our experience in Acapulco, especially our location on the Port of Marques. Weather was great & it was very low stress...i.e., no bugs, street venders, time share salesmen, etc.

Who goes to a Siberian theme restaurant in Acapulco? Confused

Oh well, I'm glad you got it off your chest anyway.
