Bacon Cheeseburger, with fruit salad and macaroni salad. 1995 Whitehall Lane Reserve Cabernet. Sadly, it was horribly corked.

Why such a nice bottle with cheesburgers? Interesting story that involves my fantastic UPS guy. We were at the in-laws for dinner, after DnVsMom and I came off the golf course. Our UPS guy tried to deliver wine to my house, but we weren't there. My in-laws live a couple blocks away, so he simply went there and dropped off the wine. Absolutely going above and beyond the call! Anyway, I do love the combo of cheeseburgers and cab, but the only bottle of red wine my M-I-L had was a Little Penguin Cab-Shiraz blend. No thank you. So into the just delivered wine I went. Very, very disappointing....

Red wine and cheeseburger’s is defiantly an underrated pairing IMO.

Spanish lamb chops last night at one of my favorite local restaurants, Black Sheep Bistro in Tustin.
