I just had a great meal with my family which included roasted potatoes and honey garlic spare ribs. I had Robert Mondavi 2006 Pinot Noir with my meal and thought it worked quite well with it. Any wine suggestions if I plan to repeat this meal in the future? I wrote more about it here: http://jeremyskitchen.wordpress.com/2008/09/02/roast-potatoes-and-baby-shoes/
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That would work.

As would a fuller bodied but drier Riesling, probably from Austria.

An off-dry German Scheurebe (probably Spatlese) would also work just as well -- maybe best of all -- but may be slightly harder to find a good example of.

Chianti.

I make a similar roast potato recipe using oregano as well. I find that lots of good salt makes a difference; both potatoes and tomatoes love salt. I also parboil the potatoes first just to reduce the roasting time and then toss them in oil before putting in the baking dish; it makes them even creamier inside.

Depends on how much honey was used on the ribs. A Gewurztraminer from Alsace might work. Popcorn

Beaujolais, any of the cru's or Nouveau. Or a young Kiwi Pinot Noir. Something ligt andfruity. Or a beer. Heck, a Coke.
