My wife and I honeymooned in France in 2000 and purchased several bottles of wine to ship back home. This was way before we knew much about wine. We have six bottles left and aren't sure exactly what we have, or if it's good. I'll post the list and any help will be greatly appreciated.
1981 Chateau Pavie Decesse Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe
1994 Moulin LaGrezette Cahors Crulee du Printemps
1998 Chateau Minuty Cuvee De L'Oratoire Cotes De Provence
1988 Meursault Pierre Bouree Fils Regociant-Eleveur A Gevrey Chambertin
1998 Chateau Pierron Buzet
1990 Domaine des Varoilles Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Des Varoilles 1er Cru
These bottles have been properly stored since we purchased them in 2000. Just curious as to how good they may be right now, or if they're past their prime. Plus, if anyone has any idea of their market value, that would be helpful too.
You can check to see if your wines have a market value at wine-searcher.com. I looked in my wine notes and I have had the Chateau Pavie Decesse and I wrote that it was super rich. However it was not from 1981.
I have had other Cahors (Malbec grape) but not the one you asked about.
I am very excited for you. You are going to have a great time drinking them. It would be my opinion that you shoud drink them soon.
Let me know what you thought of them when you get to them.

I'm sure if you looked under the WS Wine Search and even under the Wine Value drop down boxes on WS Homepage you will find the answers to your questions.
Good Luck,
Tracey
