Hey everyone, just a quick question. I am looking for a specific bottle of wine, and I have no idea how to go about getting my hands on a bottle.

It's a Rocca Sveva, Amarone Della Valpolicella (1997 if possible, if not any year will do.)

I have no idea where to look, or if I can order it online somewhere, but this is an important bottle to me, and I'm really looking to get my hands on a bottle.

If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it!

below is a link to some site that has an example of what i'm looking for, although they don't ship to the US.

http://www.manor.ch/de/shops/products.cfm?product_id=13...gory_ID=55&shop_id=1

Thanks thanks thanks! Smile

Are you sure you wouldn't be happier with a little Schwalbenwinkel?

uhh I don't know a whole lot about wine, at the expense of sounding like an idiot, I'm guessing you're making a joke? I don't know if this is a good wine or not, but it's the one I want.

Yes, a little joke.

I suggest that you try the more general wine converstion discussions that many more read.

A quick Google search picks up mostly Italian hits, nothing in the USA. I suspect it is a wine that nO one can find.

hmmm alright thanks guys, I'll give that a try. I Originally found it in a little wine shop in Perugia, the city I was living in at the time, so I figured I might have some trouble finding it. Thanks, any other resources I might be able to use to try and find it? I'm not big into the online wine community, so I'm not sure where to begin searching. thanks!

If you're not in any big hurry, it might pop up on eBay.

In fact, it was on the Italian eBay recently. Don't know if you'd run into the same reluctance to ship to the US if it's from a private individual instead of a company.

In bocca al lupo!

Actually, you might give this place a call and check which wine they have. It's not clear if this is the "Rocca Sveva" bottling, but this was the only Amarone from Cantina di Soave that I could find.
