But no worry, Mary, if you would forget one or two bottles. I remember a few remarcably drinkable L.T.'s from (I think it was) 1975 tasted a few years ago.
It's quite a classic Médoc, with some potential to last. The only thing you'll have to keep in mind is that an old wine is a totally different product than a young one and people don't necessarily like both.
In addition, this wine has suffered from COSTCO-itis and has become very much mass produced. I second Rik's comments - my father has opened a number of these from late 70s and 80s and they were completely different (predictable) then the newer "big" medoc style.
I've been UNDERwhelmed by this wine. I don't know the price point now but if it is about $15, other wines like Brisson & Marsau are better values. You did well buying the great 2000 vintage. Don't expect the 2001 or 02 to be as good.

hello, first I have to agree with you that the Chateau Larose Trintaudon 2000 is pretty good.... and for keeping it I recommend at least 4-5 years.btw you can try this two sites, weight gain, oliver ross.

Just drank the Larose about a month ago and thought the 2000 was a very nice wine for the price. Keep in mind however that the 2000 was a very nice wine for Larose and usually on most vintages their quality is way behind.
