Recently I bought few cases of Chateau Tayac 2000, Margaux appellation. I found that each bottle have a lot of grape residues, from what I know each bottle has little was normal but it doesn't. Can someone explain why each bottle have a lot of grape residues?

At that age, the phenolic compounds in a lot of reds begin to polymerize and form sediment in the bottle; it's essentially part of the reason we age hard red wines in the first place, to soften out the "younger" characteristics. It's completely harmless. Decant for sediment (I'm sure there are lots of instructions out there!) and enjoy.

Felix,

I couldn't have said it better myself. Actually, I couldn't have said it at all.

MM, you are my hero. See you in Chicago? Montreal?
