Maybe someone here at WS will know the answer: I tried to register at The Port Forum [http://www.theportforum.com] but my registration is stopped with a message that states my email address has been banned. It's an AOL.com email address that has never been banned anywhere before. Is "The Port Forum" just banning all AOL email addresses? I can't even post as a guest to ask the question. TIA if anyone here knows.

I didn't think that I'd banned aol e-mail addresses but the site where I get my list of spammers from has it down. I've removed the block and you should now be allowed to register, look forward to seeing you over there and sorry for the error,

As the list of banned addresses is so large I've deleted them all temporarily. The worst spammers normally have gmail, xmail or hotmail accounts which is why they are banned but I've unhooked hotmail already. It's all open to abuse for a short while.
Derek T or I always approve each user personally so no spammers get to post their drugs/porn/Paris Hilton videos but the ban list has cut down the number that I have to purge each day.
I will be finding a better way to deal with it soon.
