I agree. If these are Imperials of Bordeaux, they're gonna need some more time in the bottle. Over the past decade, I've opened some 1979 Imperials of Pichon Lalande and Leoville Las Cases. They had ideal fills and the wines were truly outstanding. If you start with wines that may have compromised corks, you're taking a big risk.
